FAIRBURY, Neb. (May 24, 2021) - Weldon Buford and Cole Vanderheiden each topped their respective classes on Saturday night during the NOW600 Hi Plains Building Division Jayhusker Region event at Jefferson County Speedway.
20 Stock Non-Wing, 19 Winged A-Class and 18 Restricted 'A' Class Micro Sprints were in attendance for the first appearance at the Fairbury bullring.
STOCK NON-WING >>
Weldon Buford topped the Stock Non-Wing feature event after starting seventh on the grid. Jack Kassik from ninth crossed in the second spot with Jason Friesen third. Jaxon Brenning was fourth and Dawson Nunnenkamp the top five.
Trevor Cohn was sixth with Blake Miksell seventh. Eighth went to Jadyn Friesen with Zane Woodman and Kyle Kugel the top ten.
Trey Zorn, Nunnenkamp and Jeremy Wickham were the nights three heat winners.
WINGED A-CLASS >>
Weldon Buford topped the 20-lap Winged A-Class feature event with Trey Zorn crossing in the second spot. Cole McDaniel was third with Jaxon Brenning and Jason Friesen the top five.
Jadyn Friesen took sixth with Dawson Nunnekmap seventh. Kelbie Volkman was eighth with Jack Kassik ninth and Maddie Fritz the top ten.
Jadyn Friesen, Trey Zorn and Jason Friesen won heat races.
RESTRICTED 'A' CLASS
NOW600 National competitor, Cole Vanderheiden stood on top of the podium on Saturday in Restricted competition. Abigayle Lett finished in the runner up spot with Cale Lagroon taking third. Kash Wenski was fourth with Rayce Lockman fifth.
Keegan Osantowski was sixth with Riley Osantowski seventh. Jace Wren was eighth from 16th with Dominic White and Landon Graham the top ten.
Jackson Kounkel, Cale Lagroon and Rayce Lockman won heat races.
The NOW600 Hi Plains Building Division Jayhusker Region returns to action on Saturday, June 5 at Washington Speedway in Washington, KS.
